Presentation body language

Your audience will draw interpretations from your body language. Your body language as a presenter will serve to either support your message, or it can unintentionally contradict it.

During your presentation, your personal appearance, your posture, facial expressions and gestures all combine to influence how credible you will appear in the eyes of your audience.

Important qualities to project ...

What are some of the qualities that an audience will tend to look for in a presenter?

2. Expertise in the subject matter
3. Respect for the audience themseleves

Body language

In your presentation try to remain aware of your body language and project the following ..

• Standing tall, rather than slouching
• Smiling and appearing friendly (although do not overdo this)
• Establishing eye contact with people around the entire room
• Using gestures appropriately - although not to distraction

Enjoy yourself

In concluusion, the success of your presentation depends as much on how you deliver your message, as it does on the actual content of your message. And one final tip, your audience are moe likely to enjoy your presentation if you do as well!
